The former process leaches chemicals and metals into the soil and the latter contributes to global warming through the emission of greenhouse gases.
Endless production of cheap furniture can lead to deforestation as well as pollution due to transportation of wood from countries thousands of miles away from the UK.
Luckily, re-upholstery has become an emerging trend because it makes environmental sense too.

This means that you minimise both the need for additional resources to manufacture new furniture and also the energy involved in manufacturing new products.We can custom make footstools, ottomans and headboards to your specifications.
Furniture restoration and Upcycling
A recent report by the Waste & Resources Action Programme points out that, “The environmental benefits of reusing one tonne of sofas are the same as recycling one tonne of plastics.”
This is due to all the embedded energy that exists in the sofa. It also saves on the resources that go into the production of a new one.
Online store of beautiful one offs
We source secondhand, used items of furniture and other pieces and restore them beautifully for your home. You can buy these on our website but beware, they will only appear once, so if you love it, buy it quickly! We will not add to the landfill by making new items out of new materials!
